Journal of African Fashion Law,
Policy and Innovation

Africa's first peer-reviewed journal dedicated to fashion law, policy, and innovation — building the scholarly foundation the industry needs and the legal community deserves.

About the Journal

Publishing the Scholarship That Changes the Law.

The Journal of African Fashion Law, Policy and Innovation is Africa's first dedicated academic journal for fashion law scholarship. Published annually by the Fashion Law Institute Africa, it brings together original research, case law analysis, policy commentary, and legal scholarship from across the continent and the global fashion law community — covering not just the law as it stands, but the policy directions and innovations shaping where it is going.

The Journal is peer-reviewed and edited by a distinguished editorial board drawn from Africa's leading law schools and legal institutions. It is the most rigorous academic publication in African fashion law — and the primary venue for scholars who want their work to reach the practitioners, policymakers, and advocates who can act on it.

This is not a journal about fashion. It is a journal about the law that governs it, the policy that shapes it, and the innovations — legal, technological, and commercial — that are transforming it across the continent.
